All discs are progressive

The R2J (both original and "international" releases) has two versions of the film with different audio/subtitle options, Disc 1 is 8.9Mb/s~ and Disc 2 is 5.5Mb/s~.
The R2UK has two versions of the film with different audio options but the same transfer.

What a completely pointless release! Exact same source, just a different encode that actually looks ever so slightly worse. The original MPEG2 BD was, I think, the first BD50 so even though it is MPEG2 it has plenty of bitrate and is limited only by the source.
This new release also lacks the 7.1 track of the original BD.

Added the R2UK and R2J, no longer have the R1 but it's in the old comparison.

Yeah, looks like the US release is on a BD25 with standard Dolby Digital tracks.

Another ultra-expensive Japanese import is in-order if you want a decent version of this film.
