Re PC game piracy, I read that the developer of Crysis said for every PC game that is bought, about 20 are pirated.

Crytek and others are just using piracy as an excuse for cancelling titles or ceasing support. Crysis sold over a million copies and isn't very good, it's also not optimised in the slightest. They released their complaint about piracy around the same time it became evident they weren't going to patch it further and their enxt games would be multi-platform.
Consoles have always been more profitable, this is nothing new, even without piracy they would still sell more copies. It's just excuses to make less in-depth titles and shave the margins.

Exactly. By the time Crysis came out, hardly anyone had a machine powerfull enough to play it properly, so a million coppies sold isnt even all that bad, considering many skipped it due to ridiculous hardware-demands.

Edit: the game seems like fun, but TBH I couldnt even be bothered downloading a demo, let alone trying to find and download the complete game.
