Thanks MLAM.

There isn't actually much in it but if I had to give the nod I'd say the UE was better.

You're actually considering BUYING Windows?! I never knew that you were such a Tardis Brad.
Stop using Tardis out of context and I'll gladly answer your question.

Any chance of some PAL versions being added?

Have ordered the EE for about £2.75. At that price even I couldn't say 'no'. 8) Will post new caps when it arrives to match my UE caps and that way both sets of caps will have come from the same PC/software.

I rewatched them both recently :) on my 40 inch LCD, they are slightly different, I can see they have small differences and I did think the EE did slighlty win, but hey its not miles ahead :) when I get the HD version I am sure it will be far more in your face supiriour :D

The title of this thread is misleading, it only features caps from the Extreme Edition's SD transfer.

Yup I looked for the HF version :D from a HD master, not a HD version.

UE has far more edge enhancement, otherwise it's hard to tell the two apart.

Anyone found a good standard dvd to HD comparison? as there are sooo many versions out on HD DVD and Blu Ray its silly. Just want to see how much better they are compared to the standard dvds (just sold my Extreme Edition you see, I want HD now).

I'll make one soon (Studio Canal UK HD-DVD vs. R1UE). I'll do La Haine tonight though.
