Judith still has a beautiful voice even 40 years later, lovely song but very sad, a metaphor for something coming to end. More than just a break up, at one point I thought it was about going off to war, after all the singer says "We MAY never meet again", and if one person loves the other - why break up?
The Seekers would traditionally close their concerts with this song. You may have heard it when it was used to god effect at the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

It was a bit too surreal for my liking. But kidney-stealing (amongst other horrible acts) have been used in the form of entertainment before - just look at Sympathy for Mr Vengeance.

Wonder where you draw the line between what's acceptable and bad taste.
