So if you want the best open matte transfer, buy the R1. Best widescreen trasfer, buy the R2UK. Both DVDs have a number of unique extras.
I'll get both, but the R1 will be first, since I've only ever seen the film in 4:3.

EDIT: Scheduled it for 6am Friday! Sorry, thought it was Thursday today for some reason.slasher13 wrote:When are you hoping to get the review done Shingster?
I believe Metrodome are releasing just the first disc in the set seperately at a low rrp, so if you ain't too fussed by the sound of the extras on disc02 or the open matte UK edit of the film, you could get this cheaper edition.EvaUnit02 wrote:I'll get both, but the R1 will be first, since I've only ever seen the film in 4:3.

Hey Shingster, Just read the reviews, very cool
. I didn't know about the 4:3 chop off, I completely missed that. If metrodome will release the widescreen on its own, then I would def get that instead of the 2 disk.
Cheers for that. BTW the review link is: http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=65006
