Windows ME has a very bad reputation. I'm not sure why as it's 90% the same as Windows 98: SE but is actually more efficient as it doesn't let you load DOS style TSRs which are drivers that can talk directly to the hardware circumventing Windows which isn't a good idea as a badly written driver can screw your PC.Markgway wrote:Windows ME. Which is crap. I don't think that's the problem though. It's the PC itself which apparently is incapable. Don't ask me to explain as my tech knowledge is extremely limited.
Anyway back on topic(ish). What hardware do you have? As there is no way at all it's incapable of running broadband. Like I said the resources BB needs are virtually the same as dial-up.
It sounds more likely you had back luck and/or your pc needs re-formatting. Maybe consider upgrading the memory also. I'm guessing it's low.
It's a common mistake people make that when your pc gets old you need a whole new one. Often it just needs new memory, a larger hard disk etc . . . I often see people upgrade to a whole new system when a re-format and re-install of Windows would've been enough. You'd be amazed at what a performance boost that does.
Interesting I prefer 10 out of 10. You can't be fair enough with only 5 as there are so man films out there.I find out of Four easier to do for some reason. Five is too many options. 8)
