If you want the uncut New Fist Of Fury, try and find the Columbia release. Even, that's missing the full credits

Looks like HKL's DRAGON FIST will be uncut according to the BBFC's 92:42 running time.

Let's hope they get the language right.

I think all their Lo Wei releases have been Cantonese but for all I know they can't tell the differeance and just stuck Cantonese on the box. I haven't had the courage to check them out. I hope Dragon Dynasty can do a good job - Snake & Crane is a real fave of mine

Was their SHAOLIN WOODEN MEN uncut?
That was Cantonese, should have been Mandarin, no?

All the Jackie Chan/Lo Wei films are Mandarin films, with the exception of Fearless Hyena

AFAIK, the HKL was uncut but wrong language and no original mono

A surprisingly good package from Premier Asia.

For a really bad film. It has stunning visuals, but unfortunately fails to deliver.

I think the Duellist is a pretty good film despite the narrative flaws. 2 films that are pretty much all style no substance are Hero and House of Flying Daggers, yet they seem to recieve widespread praise - at least The Duellist evokes mood and feeling far more effectively than the latter of those "modern classics"

Yeah I've heard. I was talking solely from a technical point of view.

I agree about the latter, but not "Hero".

If I had to compare the two, I'd say that "Hero" is a poem and HoFD a kitschy novel. (Although I really like the over the top dramatic ending of HoFD when I watch it on my own. :D )

Hero is a bit over-rated and comes with the dullest use of slow mo and cgi since The Matrix. I like the story a lot, though. Flying Daggers is a better film although it still suffers from the same problems but to lesser extent

Could be the shorter version though.

If it's from FS, it'll be the full length version but it's still the wrong language and probably a downmix only

Very promising film when it was being made. Awesome trailer. The finished film however was not very memorable.

Probably because they screw up 9 out of 10 releases nowadays...

Don't pretend you hypocrites. You were already moaning about HKL releases when Bey and Brian were still there.
