Fair enough, what I am I saying look what I posted above the R3 is also R1 so will play just fine in your R1 only player. R3 DVDs are also NTSC encoded so no worries there either.
You'll get DTS too. $13.95 delivered (postage included):
http://www.cd-wow.us/review_2.php?produ ... 75&pp_nr=1
That will make it $15.95, click here to knock another $2 off (this link gives you a voucher you can paste into the link above):
http://www.cd-wow.us/promotion_2.php?pr ... ffid=13858
Making it $13.95. You get:
1. It plays on R1 only players
2. Added DTS
3. A month early - It's in stock at CD WOW
4. 100% English writing on the packaging and menus
It's a no brainer IMO. You'd lose out on DTS just so you can get it (a month late) in store?
CD WOW come highly recommended from everyone on this forum, plus elsewhere.
p.s - Why get the "official R1" when the R3 is also R1. The R1 DVD will be the R3 DVD, just with DTS lopped off. Why? I've no idea.

Well you say yourself you've only ever bought R1Barbarian King wrote:It might seem silly, but other region DVD's just feel...cheaper and not quite as official to me as a good ol' R1.
That's a massive generalisation. Just like R1 it depends on the studio. Lionsgate aren't exactly known for their quality.gasteropod wrote:I'd say that R3's are possibly lower quality than R1's.
In the case of Casino Royale it's a Sony R3 so will be identical.
Really? That's cheap for a shop price.Barbarian King wrote:And it'll be $13-$14 on release day here in the US anyway.

Yeah, Wally World will probably have it for $13 and change.bradavon wrote:Really? That's cheap for a shop price.Barbarian King wrote:And it'll be $13-$14 on release day here in the US anyway.
And I've seen some other region discs and they just seem slightly cheaper. I dunno. Even a couple of Canadian discs I've viewed seemed cheaper, from the package to the menus and FBI screens before the movie...just...not the same.
