Not necessarily. Their R1 of Tsukamoto's Vital was film-NTSC and their R2UK was film-PAL.Shingster wrote:Simple rule with tartan, if their r2 release is true pal, the r1 is PAL>NTSC. If their r2 release is NTSC>PAL, their r1 is NTSC.
Panorama suck, all their releases are interlaced.thelostdragon wrote:I have the HK 2 discer from Panorama and it is very good for the price. The packaging is nice, too.

Nice to see exceptions, make it a general rule then.EvaUnit02 wrote:Not necessarily. Cheers. I didn't realise that was usually the case.Shingster wrote:Simple rule with tartan, if their r2 release is true pal, the r1 is PAL>NTSC. If their r2 release is NTSC>PAL, their r1 is NTSC.
I do wonder where they sourced the Native-PAL master from, as all these films are NTSC at source (as in county).
It's funny therefore no American review I've read has mentioned PAL-NTSC. Are you sure? It wouldn't be logical from a business sense to release PAL-NTSC.
