Holy shit! This Korean CE/FA remastered 2-pack sounds great. I might just order it.

What is your source? Got a link? Has this been confirmed or is it just your speculation? The good news being this Korean release is also set for a HK DVD so it should be the same but cheaper.

Sorry I wasn't ignoring you, just not posting much at all period.
Agreed it does look nice but tbh I've already bought 3 copies of CE (two R1 versions) and am pretty much done with these films. The R1 versions are already decent enough for me.
The current HK DVDs are mess so they needed upgrading but now I'm not so sure.

That said I've quoted someone on the 21st of August a few posts up but I can't remember who or what that's from?

Please post if you do. I'd be interested to hear a second opinion on whether it's worth upgrading.EvaUnit02 wrote:Holy shit! This Korean CE/FA remastered 2-pack sounds great. I might just order it.

I could've sworn I read it in your post a few months back, sourced here but I guess not sorry:What is your source? Got a link? Has this been confirmed or is it just your speculation?

It's okay man.bradavon wrote:Sorry I wasn't ignoring you, just not posting much at all period.
Oh, you meant that uber-expensive set with the lamp and the boxers. I thought that you were saying that there's another new remastered release.Happy Together has already been released (assuming it's from the same set).
It's just you misinterpreting things then. NOWHERE in ADVDG thread linked does it actually say that there's HK versions coming; just speculation that IF there's new HK CE/FA releases then there would be a good chance of them utilising the new HD remasters and the price being significantly lower.I could've sworn I read it in your post a few months back, sourced here but I guess not sorry:

Hey.
CKE/Fallen Angels set is here -
http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/c ... 004485955/
I'd like to know how the subs are on these films, are they Engrish or decent subs? Then I'll get rid of my CKE R1.

I got that thing yesterday and had a very brief look at both movies. The subs seemed okay to me on a cursory look, although I seem to remember reading somewhere that the quite important song in FA has been left unsubtitled (didn't check this myself).grim_tales wrote:Hey.

I also own R4 FA and R3K CE (Tarantino presents version).

Eva has posted a DVD Times review above.grim_tales wrote:I'd like to know how the subs are on these films, are they Engrish or decent subs? Then I'll get rid of my CKE R1.
I'm waiting/hoping for the HK version, while the Korean set isn't expensive £15 is too much for me. I've spent more than enough money on these films to pay more than £10, plus not being in keep cases it would mess my box set up.

Nice one thanks Lourdes. The new Korean DVDs are digi-pack right? And not two keep cases.
I'd prefer two keep cases as I can then switch them in my WKW R1 box set. I'm not sure I can be bothered otherwise. I'm kind of done with these films (and unless extras packed DVDs come, probably) and it would mean having to own the film twice, for each.
That said I'm sure a proper capture comparison would help immensely
. The DVD Times ones uses their usual tiny captures.

You could always swap the discs over, ie so the Korean discs would be in the r1 case.bradavon wrote:I'd prefer two keep cases as I can then switch them in my WKW R1 box set. I know (and I quoted him, not you), you were confused Lourdes' usage of programming jargon so I was letting you know what he meant. Looks like you need to get more sleep so that you can think more clearly.bradavon wrote:Those comments were from Lourdes not me, otherwise I've no idea what you're taking about.
In other words "Ripping != Compressing/Reencoding." means that ripping is not the same as compressing/reencoding.
