I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Well there's Michael Mann's Heat:

I've just ordered the normal Special Edition though for the same price. I mean, come on! Who wants foil packaging?!

Actually if you just search for "foil packaging" you get 24 results:

There are some good films amongst that lot, with Batman Begins standing out. But £6.99 for the 2 disc set? I think this foil packaging malarky might turn out to be some really shoddy work just like the old snapper cases. I'm going to avoid them like the plague until anyone says they're any different...

I agree with this, but I wonder a: how will that handle 2-disc releases, and b: would it be strong enough?EvaUnit02 wrote:I'm curious about this too. But IMO thinpaks should become the standard, half the width of an amaray.
I'd like them to be smaller though. thank god we have left the VHS era behind

I stick my burnt discs in thinpaks and to be honest I'm not impressed with them. The discs stay put better than in an Amaray but the overall construction is weak, they don't opena nd close so easily and the spines are too thin for easy browsing. Not sure why I keep buying them come to think of it.EvaUnit02 wrote:I'm curious about this too. But IMO thinpaks should become the standard, half the width of an amaray.

So they're just the normal amaray-cases, except they have an extra card slipcase, which has some foil (?) down the side? Weird. But I'll probably order one...saltysam wrote:they are just card slipcases with the amaray keepcase inside this.the slipcases are white with silver foil down the right hand side.

So after all that foil packaging just means slip-case
. I guess the foil is to make it look smarter???
At the beginning maybe but not keep case width is set I wouldn't want it to change. They'd really stand out.
If you can fit 6 DVDs in a standard width keep case (the Aussie 24 Season box sets) then I'm sure you can fit 2 DVDs in a slip keep case.Yi-Long wrote:I agree with this, but I wonder a: how will that handle 2-disc releases
