Only one extra (the rest don't count) and it's not even from the director or lead actor.

It's such a shame that we just know this would've been stacked if it were released 12 months ago. Odd no Mono either.

Still it's good to see. Fingers crossed it beats the HD Fortune Star Remaster which by all accounts is the best out there. I doubt I'll bother though the IVL box set is fine for me (I was really hoping for lots of lovely extras to convince me I should upgrade).

Universal had the VHS rights for the old cut version. I don't think they ever actually got round to releasing it.

I'm happy with my IVL set of the A Better Tomorrow Movies (aside from the poor subs on ABT1 but I'm not double dipping for that). I'll rent the momentum though to check out the commentary.

Optinum not Momentum - unless they are in cahoots these days...

Only the subs? What about the freeze-framing issue?

Lucky you. Maybe I'll have to post a screenshot of one of the many frames that freeze.

That is odd when most/all new releases have had it.

I asked that on more than one occasion and got no response. In fact you even said that was a stupid idea and laughed at it.

Maybe I should have written:
"Maybe I REALLY need to post a screenshot."...
In fact you even said that was a stupid idea and laughed at it.
... as it really is a stupid idea, because it happens at the end of every single shot towards the end. No need to show a specific moment really.

I'm pretty sure I remember that A Better Tomorrow 2 was one of the first titles announced in the HKL / Fortune Star deal...

hey,

think it was way back Jenz announced Cinema City titles that ABT2 first was revealed. Since then, perhaps a new deal has been struck since Fortune Star and HD transfers weren't circulating then.

Look at City on Fire. A FS Remaster exisited by then but HKL chose not to use it. I suspect Jin is right which could mean no HD Remaster

So if you have the IVL box, no reason to upgrade?

Do you?

This will answer your question: https://www.bulletsnbabesdvd.com/forums/ ... php?t=2043

The HKL is much better IMO but it's discussed properly in that thread.

We're talking about the "On Fire" box set not the ABT box set. I said "Look at City on Fire." and you said "So if you have the IVL box, no reason to upgrade?".

The ABT box set no one knows when the HKL ABT2 isn't remotely out yet but you already knew this. I doubt I'll bother as the extras are pants and I'm happy with my IVL box set.
