It's good, but they need to change that pic of Sammo.

Whats wrong with it? :? Admittedly it looks a bit odd when you compare it to the Lau Kar Wing pic...

I love "Hand of Death". The John Woo/Jackie Chan-collaboration works very good and the music is first class.

One of the better old school flicks.

Unless HKL have renegotiated their deal with Fortune Star, the soundtracks will all be fucked as per Warriors Two.

Mark couldnt you contact them (HKL)? I think Brian's address is: xxx@xxx.com :)
Doesnt Wheels on Meals have different music in the English/Cantonese dubs? :?

Edited by Bradavon: please pm or e-mail each other when giving out other people's private e-mail address's it's not fair to the person it belongs to.

I've written numerous times to HKL and never get a reply. Probably because I ask critical questions and don't kiss ass... Why don't you drop 'em a line. Just say you hate the Fortune Star 5.1 remixes.

Yes. But they may fuck them both.

I think I'm gonna keep my Universe disc (of Wheels on Meals).
The remix on that disc is just awesome.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

The trailer for Odd Couple starts with the words "From action superstar Sammo Hung and Shaw Brothers legend Lau Kar Leung"
Sorry?....whats Lau Kar Leung got to do with it, its his brother Lau Kar Wing!!

They also mention Lau Kar-Wing in the trailer... :?

I don't know. Maybe Lau Kar-Leung produced the movie ?

Hey I dont kiss ass either.. ;) A few times I got a reply from Brian, but not lately. I did ask him for example why he was releasing stuff like Naked Weapon, but I was polite about it.
I asked him about the mixes too but didnt say I hated them, just thats what I read, perhaps he would reply if I said I hate them..? ;)

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that. My post was badly worded.

Probably not. I doubt he'd reply whatever you say. But I guess it can't hurt.

It may well be, but the film is also missing five minutes. The Mega Star DVD is currently the one to own.

First of all... Dragons Forever... JUNE!?!?! They freakin' said March.
IronMonkey wrote:Wheels On Meals is Platinum? Where did that come from?! :D
I suppose this is because they want the 3 proper brothers movies to be all Platinum, Project A, Dragons Forever & Wheels on Meals. 8)

Thanks Lost Dragon.

I'm looking forward to The Master I hope the "int" at the end of the filename doesn't mean it's the international version.

Sorry Mark but I don't mind FS remixes so sorry I won't be complaining. I've not heard Warriors Two but overall prefer the ones I have heard (from Fox and IVL) over HKL's usual soundtracks.

My Project A: PE arrived the other day and in a slipcase too. I wish they hadn't stopped these and numbering their PE's too!

p.s - Grim I've removed the e-mail address for Brian White it's not fair on Brian if people start spamming him. Not that I'm say people here would but lurkers could!

Hey Mark,
On the Asian DVD Guide theres speculation the soundtrack for Odd Couple will be OK because its' not a Fortune Star print but a Mei Ah one (I'm sure thats what I read).
:? I thought all future HKL titles would now use Fortune Star transfers?

HKL can't use a Fortune Star print if Fortune Star don't have the rights to that particular film!?!

Sorry, your question has confused me a bit...

I'm looking forward to The Master and City on Fire (it looks barely anything like Res. Dogs). I've seen neither.

Is the Master known under a different name? It's a pity HKL can't get more Jet Li films.

I'm sure not all releases will now be FS as FS haven't remastered all the films HKL have. I doubt COF will be a FS remaster. If OC is not from FS then the PQ won't be as good so something else to complain about ;-D .

Mark,
:D OK, that makes sense, perhaps they don't. Even its not a FS print I'm sure the PQ will be very good.

Is Dragons Forever a FS title?
I highly doubt Bang Rajan is. Its too new a film anyway to need a FS print. (Really looking forward to BR, by the way). :D
