Burn in Hell: Music of the Damned

Post by Markgway »

Yes, folks, this is the chance to vent your spleen! The ultimate thread where you can list every single/artist/album you loathe, detest, hate with every fibre of your being... the music that sickens you to the core so much it should bring about the death penalty... or that you just kinda don't like that much.

Start listing... you know you wanna............

-All rap music, except some "party rap" of the 1980's.
-All techno, except Bristol trip-hop.
-Shoe-gazing acoustic guitar no-talent crooners like Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Pete Murray.
-Nu-metal bands
-Death metal bands
-The poppy shit that passes for punk thesedays.
-Whaling R&B pop divas.
-Pop-rock de-evolution of grunge that's popular today - eg Creed, Nickelback, Seether.
-Neo-jaza monotonous-voiced women like Diana Krall and Norah Jones.
-Indy-rock - there's a reason why it's independent, it's absolute raw sounding shit.
-Crap "critically-acclaimed" bands liked by big fucking nerds like The Mars Volta and Coheed & Cambria, The Smiths/Morrissey, They Might Be Giants.
-70's garage rock-revivalist bands like The White Stripes, The Hives, The Strokes, etc.
-Talentless singer-songwriters who sound like animals in pain when they sing. Eg James Blunt (coincidence that his name rhymes with cunt? I think not!) and David Gray.
-Pop-opera eg Il Divo, Amici Forever, Charlotte Church before she became a pop whore (still sucks now), etc.

Shit boybands like Westlife etc
Boy/girlbands doing emotion free covers of poignant songs (American Pie, I Have a Dream, Seasons In The Sun, Eternal Flame etc).
I know Madonna sung "American Pie" after Don McClean (sp?)

Oasis' first two albums were good (1994-1995).

From then on I agree.

Oasis are OK IMO I guess, but theyre doing exactly the same stuff they did in the Britpop era - the days of classics like Wonderwall, Whatever and Don't Look Back In Anger are long gone.

Oh yeah,
I hate all Asian pop music. Especially J-pop, which for some reason stopped evolving in the 1980's.

Oh yeah, Oasis were really AWESOME back in the day. They had really inspired Shakespearean-esque lyrics like "Where were you when we were getting high?".

Her voice really annoys me, she thinks she has a voice (though it is unique) like a blues/RnB legend. She does not.

Hmm nah I've always pretty much hated Oasis. I took standard grade music and our teacher made us play their songs ALL the time.... the whole indie/mullet thing doesn't to it for me.

That song was the beginning of the end for me.

Self-indulgent clap-trap and the worst from their second album.

They had moptops back in the day.
Image As seen sported by Ringo, the least talented one.

A mullet, demonstrated by David Spade - shit midget comedian.

You have no idea what "indy-rock" is, if you heard it your ears would bleed from it's sheer awfulness.

I dare you to even consider subjecting yourself to Pavement, My Bloody Valentine/Kevin Shields and Death Cab For Cutie.

Thanks Scotland for giving the world two of the shitiest (and most pretenious) bands of recent years:- Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party.
