I bought the Rambo blu-ray knowing there were rumors of a director's cut... but eh, I couldn't wait  Supposedly the director's cut will be on DVD and blu-ray by next year. Hopefully we'll get a rough review when it premiers at that film festival mentioned in that first article.

As for Rambo 5 and 6... as long as they have good stories to tell (it'll be interesting to see how the fifth film would pick up from the ending of the fourth), I'll see them.

If the director's cut is far superior i'll just sell on my region-free USA BD.it could be just the deleted scenes on the BD added back in. Grim best waiting till they stop making these at pt 9,then you can get the box set on green-ray

Like Mr. Pang I couldn't wait and picked up Rambo 4 USA BD. If the DC is more than just deleted scenes I'll upgrade no questions asked.

Rambo 5 and 6 I'm also excited about IF Sly directs them! Everyone else would ruin them.

Well, there are more deleted shots in the two unofficial red band trailers that didn't make it into the deleted scenes, such as the head of the Missionaries (can't remember his name... Marsh? Something like that) saying a prayer for Rambo, a Burmese soldier blowing up the truck Rambo was on (the one with the .50 cal) with a rocket, the truck full of Burmese soldiers that Rambo mowed down ends up crashing down a hill, and some other shots. Early rumors indicate that some of the action sequences may be SLIGHTLY extended, although this has yet to be confirmed.

Very interested in a RAMBO DC --

I hope Stallone beefs up drama. It's great as an action film but it needs that bit more to be a great film...

Rambo 5 and 6? Hmm... Could be one (or two) trips to the well too many? Making them straight action-thrillers instead of war movies is a good idea though... Let's put Rambo back in an alien environment.

I want to see the once-mooted tale when he takes on a gang of neo-nazis terrorizing a small town.

Agreed, more drama is needed. I'm all for Rambo 5 and 6 as to me only Rambo 4 is any good.

It went from Red to Blue so Green is possible.

Physics class??? How old are you? Or did you go to some Toff school where they actually had Physics class.

I was shit at school, plain and simple. I did much better at College though. Oh and I hated school too.

p.s - Care to explain?

I had Physics class at school. Red, Blue, Green are obviously the 3 colour strips of film that make a full colour picture.. RGB leads.. etc, otherwise I dont get it :)
It was a joke anyway :D

Shingster cannot mean that as his comment wouldn't make sense.

We only had Single Science or Double Science, which meant you had double the license and it went into more detail. It was just called Science instead of separating the sciences.

Even we had a Physics class. I was crap at the subject, natch, but somehow managed a jammy pass.

Hmm, well I can't speak for all schools, but I'm pretty sure in the 90s "double and single" science was split into 3 types of lessons: Physics, Biology, Chemistry. You didn't mix the sciences up in each lesson.

And my comment was about the colour spectrum. Blu-ray uses Blue Laser technology, which can fit much more data on a disc because the wavelength of blue light is shorter than red light (it's on the opposite end of the spectrum). Green light has a longer wavelength than blue.

Ergo, no chance of Green-Ray unless you want disc technology to go backwards.
