I want the first film to have good subtitle treatment at least, as it's comedy is quite funny for Westerners, etc. Channel 4 (UK) version shown in 1999 is the best way to see it.

Bugger I no longer have a VCR .
For your cheek, I will not make a DVD-R of it for you .

The Ch4 showing had the immortal line: "Fuck off, Northern Git!"
Clearly someone at London headquarters found this amusing.

Nope, that one is also Disney. DD should have Part 1 though.
I loved TCM at first, but there was a bit of poor screenplay that put me off. Same with TBOB, but it's got a fair bit of shit in it too (slap finale and the inclusion of Kent Cheng).
I love FOL (MIHK VHS is probably the best way to watch it and not the theatrical subs, etc) and despite the classic status of FOF (I can understand why too), I don't like it.
I wish it meant 'The Fud Who Couldn't Abbreviate A Simple Four-Worded Title Of A Film', but no - The Bodyguard Of Beijing.
IMO the best way to watch FOL is the French DVD with fan subs, both FOL and TCM French DVDs look excellent.
I love the VHS charm, but DVD is better of course.
TBB is basically boring until the finale.
Sorta yeah. Screenplay's lame at times, but IMO it's the only 'normal' serious non-laugh film of BL's with proper narrative and violence, etc - the sadness of a country boy going from 'looking for good' to going worse is felt, also when we sympathise with his urge to get even.
The Big Boss is a classic. the locations and atmosphere of the film were great.and the build-up of almost an hour till Bruce entered the action was superbly done.it's a much better film than Enter, though i love that as well.
Fist just needs a quicker pace. There are too many scenes of the Jing Wu students and Lo Wei procrastinating, and the scene where Bruce disguises himself as a phone repairman goes on too long.
Enter is badly structured but is so damn cool!
I love em all! Even Game of Death!

I wasn't, fuck off you patronising git!
Disney used to have the rights to many of Dragon Dynasty titles, before Weinstein took them with him . The last thing I'd do is teach Hong Kong cinema to members on this forum, when many know more than me anyway, what an idiotic thing to say.

There was no need to be so bloody rude about it. Who are you going to patronise next?

And yeah, I shouldn't be fucking up the proper titles - I do own the Indian VCD, Japanese and WV US DVDs after all. Also watched the Dimension version.
Don't worry, Chen Lung. I was just joking with you (using your words back at you). I'm sure you got that - unlike that tool Brad. Brad knows less than most people here about most things yet still feels the entitlement to lecture people. How bizzare!
