Tartan's The Eye Collectors Edition

Post by ReconFive »

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if the new collectors edition transfer has the same shitty NTSC-PAL conversion that Tartan is so well known for. Ghosting is an intolerable artifact for me so i just need to know for sure before ordering.
Thanks.

I'm thinking about getting the Lion's Gate R1. Sounds like the best one available at present.

Nah get the R4. It has DTS and some extras, it was released on the 20th of July.

I don't believe the R1 is all that great.

I've heard the CE is the same DVD except it's now dual layer to purely make room for DTS. The bitrate of the video I'm sure is identical.

I'd find the comparison review I read for you but I'm currently at work and our dumb proxy makes the web often fall over. I'm sure it was on www.dvddebate.com but I can't find it at the moment.

p.s - I'll lock this thread as it should really be posted here:

I'm not bothered about DTS and I think the R1 has a short making of... I hardly ever watch these puff pieces anyways...

Do you think the A/V is inferior as that's what I'm really bothered about?
