Didnt know the guys used to be in Soundgarden, and never even heard of Audioslave, but I did like the song for Casino Royale, and the credits were cool as well.

I dislike The World is Not Enough, by Garbage (even though I loved the band), and Madonna's song is gawdawfull... but that's to be expected.

Chris Cornell was the lead singer of Soundgarden, and Audioslave is 3 quarters of Rage Against the Machine & Chris Cornell. You should at least check out their first CD (titled Audioslave) if you liked either Soundgarden or Rage Against the Machine.

Their next CD, Out of Exile, is good but not as well received as the original album. Revelations (the last CD) was a return to form, but I love all 3 of them! :)

I don't live in America and I swear I'd never heard of him until Casino Royale - I'm not just saying that to make a point. When I said "no one" of course I was generalising... but when CR came out I remember hearing a lot of "who?" so it wasn't just me. I couldn't name one song Soundgarden have done. That doesn't make him or his music bad... I'm just saying he's not "famous" (as in household name) and that the Bond song was mediocre, but not awful.

I'd never heard of him before, or anything he's been connected to.

Neither had I, till my mate told me about a week ago. I'd heard of his bands, though.

Oh, thank GOD.
Amy Winehouse won't record track for new James Bond film

Amy Winehouse has abandoned recording the theme to the latest James Bond film because the singer is not ready to work, her producer said Friday.

Mark Ronson, who produced much of Winehouse's Grammy-winning "Back to Black," said the soul diva is "not ready to record any music."

Ronson said the two started work on the track for the upcoming Bond movie "Quantum of Solace" but it would take "some miracle of science" to finish it, he said in an interview with Sky News.

Winehouse's troubles with drugs, law enforcement and her rocky romance with her jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil have kept the singer in the spotlight.

Thats the best news I've had all year. Her god-awful annoying voice won't ruin the film for me!

I thought it would've worked too, she has the type of voice to lend itself well to a Bond theme tune.

It said on the news Ronson said she wasn't ready to work but her management said artistic differences. I'd be inclined to believe the former.

Why dont they ask Madonna again!? She was great(!)

They should get Norah Jones. She has that kind of classical classy sound.

Let me guess you also like the film the Madonna theme was for.

I want to forget both.

My gawd, it's a pretty bleak day when Grim is the only who notices the sarcasm... :D

I hate all the Brosnan Bond flicks. I also hate Madonna.

Funnily enough, I was the complete opposite lol. I enjoyed it at the cinema, but then when I got it on DVD I thought it was shit!

I thought it was shit when I saw at the cinema (particularly the end) and still think it's shit :D. It's quite frankly IMO SHIT!

It's so completely and utterly wrong for a Bond movie.

I've only seen the latter half of it, on TV. It was fucking dreadful. Invisible cars, a North Korean soldier gets plastic surgery to become a white pom guy, WTF?!
