I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Yeah "Homie The Clown" (the Clown College one) is part of S6 :D Its' not a 2 parter though - "Who Shot Mr. Burns" is though - and the first part is in this season.

Part 2 is the opening episode of S7.

Yes it will be available with the silly Homer head, only as a limited edition, and then comes the alternative packaging.

Yeah I know, but a while after 17 October ;) You said first comes the Homer head, then comes the alternative packaging later. If the Head is out on 17 October, the other packaging is sometime after that, no?
EDIT: My bad theyre BOTH out on 17 October  :D

I actually thought the head was coming out sooner, but if not, who cares - I know which packaging I'll be buying!

By the way, if you go on Amazon.com, there are plenty of images of the Limited Edition packaging if you'd like to see the ins and outs of it, and how it looks on a shelf with the rest of the series.

No Nils I mean these ones:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/custom ... vd#gallery

I'm confused. Stacked on a shelf the R1 appears to show the normal packaging on the spine inside the "shell" of the head? :?

EDIT: Thats a clear plastic cover (I think) that you use to stack them. That packaging still looks like a pain in the ass, I'd go for the UK set this time.. ;)

Anyone know of any S.American/Brazil e-tailors? :)

According to this review on DVD Times: http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=58863 the picture on the R2 of S6 is horrible.

I dont want a bad picture, but I dont want the head. :? Does R4 Brazil have the normal digipack? :D

Hey,

Here is the USA normal packaging - you dont have to buy the silly head (though I will eventually get the Homer head for S6 R1 due to the hideous transfer on R2).

S7 R1 normal packaging:

Do they look compressed to hell? I recall that the Six Feet Under S1 and Sopranos S1 sets looked compressed to hell. The S2 boxsets onwards of both shows looked much better since they spread them over 6 discs rather than 4.

Its not that, Simpsons S6 has undergone an NTSC-PAL conversion and is loaded with DVNR on the R2 which "paints out" some lines of the pictture, I think.
