Infernal Affairs 2 - 4/5

I watched Infernal Affairs 2 last night. It was excellent, just as good as IA1. The acting was top notch from Anthony Wong, Eric Tsang and Francis Ng; Shawn Yue did a decent job of filling the massive shoes of Tony Leung IMO. Edison Chen and Carina Lau on the other hand were awful.

Did anyone notice any plotholes between IA2 and 1? The only one that I detected was Yan's ex-girlfriend (who had like 2 mins screentime) who he got up the duff 7 years earlier wasn't present in IA2.

I look forward to seeing IA3 (once the Tartan release falls in price on cd-wow), despite hearing that it's a bit of mess. How's IA3 - it any good? From my understanding it's a prequel and sequel to IA1, otherwise how the hell could Tony Leung be a cast member?

I also think that IA2 is an excellent film, and although i think IA1 is probably a tad better overall, they are very close. I have not watched them in quite a while, so i actually don't remember Yan's ex-girlfriend from the first one. Now i have to go watch it

IA3 is the weakest, IMO, but its still very good. It does alot of jumping back and forth between the present (after IA1) and the past. It expands on the relationship between Ming and Yan, and overall brings a satisfactory close to the trilogy.

Oh yeah, I laughed when Bey Logan showed up as a British policeman in the Ming promotion interview scene.
