I really can't think of anything at the moment - £77m is just far too much and I'd wind up giving most of it away. But I'd improve my Home Cinema of course
So what would you do with £77 million? ;-)

In light of that woman who won the jackpot on the Euro Lottery, if you won all that money - what would you do with it?

You seem to have very low expectations. I'd:
1. Give a percentage to a handful of carefully thought out charities
2. Move out and buy a really nice house (out right - no mortgage) BUT not a stupidly expensive one
3. Buy stacks of stuff for said house
4. Buy a really nice car (hopefully I'll be passing soon) BUT not a stupidly expensive one
5. Leave my job
6. Rent out my house
7. Go travelling for 12 months all over the world from South America to China
8. When I return spend the time swotting up on all the computer knowledge I don't know.
9. Find a new much better job
10. Buy a second house to rent out
People who say "it won't change my life". Why did you enter then? Bollocks it won't. It would change my life forever (or nearly forever). I'd be sensible though I'd make it last the rest of my life.
Imagine the tax on 77 million!
p.s - I've moved this to debate, move it back if you wish.

77 million british pounds.. that's 112 million euros !
Wow !
I'd probably:
-Move to China.
-Buy a mountain in Yunnan.
-Buid my house inside the mountain.
-Build my own private home-theater inside the house.
-Buy the 150+ dvds that are on my shopping list.
-Buy the DDDhouse warehouse (with all the DVDs still inside).
-Watch movies and watch the scenery until I die.
112 million is what it takes to build my own paradise.
Right, where's that f*cking lottery ticket ?!

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Winning that lot of money would defintely change my life to... hell, at this point in my life I'd really want to (I'm in a runt and somewhat depressed...) win... however the chances of winning big are so slim
I'd quit my job, pay off my loans, and then spend the rest of my life trying to make the world a better place... hell if all those millionaires around the world cared an ounce for humanity - this world would be a much better place...

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

hehe, ive thought about this waaaay too much... i would:
-give 1 million to my mums side of the family and 1 million to my dads side.
-set up trust funds for my brother and sisters, a million each when they hit 25
-give my ex a million
-finance my friends to do whatever they wanted, be it starting their own business or just travelling round the world for a couple of year (thats only 6 people before you ask
)
--pay off all my loans and credit cards
-quit work
-travel the world for a few years to try and find somewhere that i prefer to here
-make free websites for cat homes
-spend 20million on a really pointless advertising campaign in which id hire all the comedians I liked to come up with scetches etc that would just entertain people for the campaign selling no product
-buy some new socks
-sleep

LOL Gojensen is in a Runt
, that must be painful.
I think Mordib has the right idea when he says he'd buy some new socks
In Thailand for example a Non-Thai can only ever own 49% of their property (most are in their wifes name).

Yep that is what she actually one.Tom2681 wrote:77 million british pounds.. that's 112 million euros
I would guess the Chinese government would have something to say about that. Can a non-Chinese even fully own land?Tom2681 wrote:-Buid my house inside the mountain.

I know it sounds like a silly idea but i have a strong belief that many people will do almost anything if you offer them enough money. i mean really dumb pointless things.
even beyond the silly things just think, I could most likely get to have supper with say patricia arquette, richard e grant and hugh hefner (is he still alive?
) if I promised to donate a million to the charities of their choice. I'm willing to bet i could find people willing to modify weaponry to fit penguins if I offered a big enough budget, the possibilities are endless
and yes, 100k will do nicely! 8)

I would share £5m amongst my friends.
Share £10m amongst my family.
Keep £5m for myself.
Give the rest away to charaties.
With the money, I'd buy a diesel 4x4 car (after/if I get my liscence). Also some home cinema stuff.
That's it...
I'd keep my job. Eventually buy a house (not yet). I'll only travel once I get holidays at work.
I don't wish to change my lifestyle. I'd still have the same ambitions. However I would feel ultra relaxed, for sure.
