The Skyhawk - any good?

One of the last films (not THE last one) in which Kwan Tak Hing played WFH, is this any good?
I've only seen him play WFH in Magnificent Butcher - it would be interesting to see some of the early black and white films he made.

You can also see him play WFH in Dreadnaught with Yuen Biao and Leung Kar-Yan.
I've read that The Skyhawk is a very average film.
The only good thing in it is the choregraphy by Sammo Hung.

OK

Is Dreadnaught better? I think that was the last film in which he played WFH.

I prefer Dreadnaught to Magnificent Butcher.
There's more comedy and more action.
Also there's an amazing lion dance demonstration that blows OUATIC 3 out of the water.

Not available on DVD yet?
I thought OUATIC3 was average compared to the others, lovely conclusion to the love story though

The Skyhawk is pretty mediocre.
Dreadnaught is the best of the latter-day Kwan Tak Hing movies.

Is DN on DVD?

It's been released on DVD in France (of course

).
I remember reading that HKL had the rights (don't know if they still do).
Deltamac has released it in HK some time ago, but I think it might be OOP now.
DN deserves a decent DVD edition.

Knowing HKL, we have more chance of seeing Wong Jing winning an Oscar before HKL release Skyhawk

Mega Star also released DREADNAUGHT. That's the edition I have. Does nicely until an HD remaster comes along...

The Skyhawk is an odd film - sticking Kwan Tak-hing into a typical 70's basher. Nora is cute as ever.
