I'm confused. Only yesterday (I think) he said he wanted to leave.
But it looks like he's staying and has signed a new contract now.

Yeah, something to do about money, and a so-called misunderstanding about the club not wanting him anymore etc etc.
Liverpool should have just taken the cash and sold the greedy bastard...
He's a very good player, don't get me wrong, but for that kinda money you can get 5-6 maybe 7 players that are almost equally as good , giving you an overal better team, instead of relying on one guy. What if the sap breaks his leg in the first match!?

I'm surprised btw that there hasnt been any 'Viera is leaving Arsenal!' rumours yet. For the last 4 or 5 years orso, that was the hot topic every damn summer. Almost a tradition even...
