What is the worst thing you've ever done to another person!?

Literally. Unless it Should Go Elsewhere

What is the worst thing you've ever done to another person!?

Post by Yi-Long »

Sometimes in life, we hurt people... sometimes intentional, sometimes unintentional.

In your life, what do you consider the worst things you have done to others!?

There are 2 things that come to mind...

1: swiped someones teeth out with a skateboard. It was nighttime and I had been playing with a friend and his skateboard. It was getting dark and he went inside. We were living ina flat at the time. I played outside with the skateboard 5 or 10 more minutes,a nd then I also headed for the door. Just as I reached the hallway someone jumped out and yelled BOO or whatever, so in a reflex I smacked the skateboard (which I had in my hand) right across his face. Only then I realized it was my friend who tried to play a joke on me or whatever... just scaring me for the fun of it I guess...
Anyway, he quickly ran upstairs bleeding heavily and he was rushed to hospital.

2: there was a girl and we really liked eachother, but we lived far apart. When I met my current girlfriend and fell in love with her, the other girl suddenly announced she was in love with me, so I had to tell her about the new situation and hurt her feelings (and thus hurt my own feelings, as I certainly never wanted to hurt her).

Unintentional:

A year ago I was driving in town with my mum's car, at a normal speed (60km/h or so) when a motorcyclist rushed out of a car park and cut me off.
I had no time to change my trajectory and I hit him so hard he landed about 50 feet for my car. The poor bastard would probably have survived if he had his helmet on but he didn't.
Since it wasn't my fault at all (even though I was VERY SLIGHTLY above the speed-limit) I didn't have any problems with the law.
Still, it's hard to sleep when you know you've killed a guy who was the same age as you.

I haven't really been able to drive ever since. :?

@Yi:

If N°1 is the worst thing you've ever done, then you should feel good about yourself. Sometimes real life can be a lot more cruel than that. :)

Bah... You just have to be philosophical about it:

The guy didn't take any precautions and just rushed in front of me.
It could have happened to anybody and it happened to me.

The "incident" in itself wasn't too bad when you think about it.
His number was up. Period.

In the end it all comes down to responsability. The only reason why I didn't end up slashing my wrists is because there was nothing I could have done. :|

The worst part (for me) is that after the accident his family regarded me as a murdering bastard.
And since the guy's little sister was in my school, word started spreading.

I ended up moving to a different city, and a different school, just because some motorcyclist didn't care about safety.

Sometimes you forget how stupid real life can be. :|

Wow... that's awfull man. Thank god it wasnt your fault but the other guy's, but still it must be hard to have that happen to you, as you probably still have alot of 'what if...' questions going through your mind, like what if I had left the house 2 minutes later, or earlier, or would have taken another turn, etc etc...

About my nr. 1: I dont really feel guilty about it. Bad? yeah a bit, but not guilty. My friend scared the shit out of me and I reacted without thought (Bruce Lee would have been proud).

I feel much worse about my nr. 2, cause it was a girl I REALLY liked a lot, cared for alot, and would have been the last person I would have wanted to hurt... but I couldnt lie to her either. Just a case of 2 people being in 2 different places, and bad timing in expressing our feelings for eachother...
If she would have expressed her love a week or 2 weeks earlier, I probably wouldnt have been with my current girlfriend. That doesnt mean I would have been with the other girl, but I probably would have waited a bit longer before getting into a serious relationship with someone else...

LMAO ! :D

Weird. Feelings grow back, teeth don't.

But hey, to each his own.

I believe his teeth were saved in the end cause he was rushed to hospital pretty much immediately and most, if not all, were put back in and they performed some magic or whatever and some false stuff perhaps... hell dont know...

But a broken heart lasts a life-time. It can heal, yeah, but it will always leave a scar... and I feel bad about that cause I could have prevented that someway,somehow... unlike the swiping someones teeth, which was a reaction to his (dumb) action ...

Ow, I thought of another thing...

When I was about 15 or something a friend came over and he brought a friend who I didnt really know. Anyway, that friend was in my house and was behaving like a major league hyperactive childish asshole, checking out all the closets, turning on the radio and tv and basically just messing things up.
When he ran to the attic to do god-knows-what, and at this time we had already warned him to behave normally and respectfully, or get the hell out, I followed him to the attic, gave him a smack in the head and threw him down a flight of stairs, and threw him out of the house...
He went home after that :)

I love this last sentence!

And Tom, what a pain it must have been, but it must also have sucked to move into another city because of that. I hope you're able to deal with it now (from your posts, I'd guess so).

That's terrible about the cyclist, Tom.

I was going to come up with something funny... but I don't feel it's appropriate now.
The "incident" in itself wasn't too bad when you think about it.
His number was up. Period.

Whilst I don't expect you to slash your wrists over an accident, I think a little more compassion would be commendable. I mean the guy fucking died. So what if it was his fault... that doesn't make it any less tragic. I wonder if telling his family his number was up helped any??
