Red Cliff Special Edition problem

Hey,
I know this BD is old, but does anyone else have this problem? When I insert the disc, Disc 1 either says "Not Recognised" or I get a load of onscreen folders (almost like someone put a load of laptop files on it) and it says "No Video content on this disc". Tried cleaning the disc, nothing. My player is region free, the disc says it's region free so I don't understand.
Disc 2 loads fine on my Panasonic Blu Ray player - WTF?
Very odd. It's no use if I can only watch half the film!
