Total Recall SE R2 (Limited Steel Packaging)

Post by grim_tales »

I may get rid of my R1 for this, not sure. Has the same features as the R1 (but a new commentary has been added?) and the picture on Play shows 2 discs (ven though it doesnt actually say it has 2 discs) so maybe the video quality of the film will be better. (The picture on the R1 is not great, quite dirty).

It looked a 2 disc set with more extras. CD-WOW only say 1 disc though.
If it all it has that differs it from the r1 is steel packaging I wont bother.

Romero says this new TR has more extras than the R1 as it includes the French SE extras as well. One of the documentaries is an hour long.

Do you think this is worth the upgrade? :) I'd upgrade my old R1 if it was cheaper (say a tenner).

Rewind confirm ir is 2 discs - look at "United Kingdom: Limited Edition":

I got this, the picture quality to me is pretty good, although i didn't have R1. I've never seen this movie until quite recently. The tin version is pretty nice, i've only got the standard amary 2 disk set which was dirt cheap from Virgin :D

Is the amaray just like the Tin but without the Tin (if you see what I mean)? :)

How much is it?

I got it off Amazon the other day for £8.97 or something. The case isn't like the T2 one was. This one, the tin case is actually part of the amaray which is on the inside of it, which holds two discs - one half on top of the other - inside of it. Sorry, I can't really explain it - but it's good!

I own the R1 SE. I purposely avoided the Tin as I hate fancy packaging. 8)

As far as I know, it'll only be available as an amaray once the tins have sold out. You are a fool for avoiding fancy packaging!

And yes, I have the Amaray with slipcase. (Took the slipcase off and put it in my drawer with the others). Sleeve is cooler without the slipcase and represents the original poster art. The Tin is hideous.

I've heard bad things about the packaging of the older release of Total Recall, but this new tin version is very smart.

I was talking about avoiding the R1 tin. The UK tin isn't too bad I suppose. Still prefer ordinary packaging though.
