I dont mind the extended version but it seems odd this is what was released on DVD/BD in Hong Kong, I thought the extended cut was only for Japan?
Overall I prefer Jackie's cut but the HKL DVD looks crap, and is heavily cropped and dark.

Why was the theatrical cut never given a DECENT English-friendly release?
I dont mind the extended version but it seems odd this is what was released on DVD/BD in Hong Kong, I thought the extended cut was only for Japan?

The extended cut was for Japan but Fortune Star choose to master the longest available version for "HD". That's what we're stuck with until some company pays for a new master. Don't hold your breath.
