Post by Lourdes »

Both discs are progressive
R3K is probably an R2J port

R3K: 5.3Mbps
R4: 4.7Mbps

R3K Top, R4 Bottom

These comparisons are making me nostalgic Lourdes! :D
The winner is pretty obvious (think I have the Korean DVD somewhere), but it looks like the R3K transfer is slightly stretched vertically?

I do these all the time for myself, so figured I should upload them when I remembered this place.

I grabbed a few caps with round objects facing camera from the R3K and roughly measured in Photoshop, they seem near enough normal. I think it's the other way round.

Yeah it's tiny if there is any stretching, so not enough to really be an issue, but I would say that the circular fan in Screenshot 4 definitely looks taller than it does wide in the Korean grab though and more circular in the Australian.
