Quite a difference, and the TW BD is only an 18GB BD25 w/AC3 and even some extras. The Japanese disc is a BD50 I think.

What's the film like? I thought the TV film he made with the same cast to promote this film (Kanzen Muketsu no Concierge) was pretty funny once it got going.

Haven't seen it. I was OCR'ing the subtitles today and saw how bad the English is, and 1850 lines... Put me off a bit; I do love Mitani, however, I just know that I'll want to edit the thing as I watch.
So is Concierge fine to watch without having seen this?

Yeah it's the same cast in a completely different scenario. Although a TV film it's very episodic, Fukatsu plays a concierge who has to deal with a number of the hotel's different guests, but someone has installed hidden cameras in all the rooms & is peering in, so stylistically it's all filmed with static hidden cams. I can't remember if it shares any of the same characters as the guests, but Kouki sort of plays himself as a guest who's stressing about his latest film that's about to premiere (which is obviously a nod to Ghost of a Chance), and there might be some brief discussion of the film there (can't remember all that well, but I think there were no major spoilers revealed).
