Only seen like 5 of his movies and all of them with exception of Aces Go Places IV were good. Maybe you shouldn't bother this time and just announce Full Contact as a winnerMarkgway wrote:Well this is an unmitigated disaster!
Most of the games have between 5-10 voters, this one is easily the worst. I was disappointed with the Renny Harlin cup because of voter snobbery. The Bullets that I remember embraced action blockbusters. If this forum turns into a Coen Bros love in I'm off. It's fine to enjoy all types of movies, but this is primarily an action/asian-based forum. I would have thought everyone here would've seen the 'on Fire' series, Twin Dragons, Full Contact, Burning Paradise, etc... those are staples. I'm not sure who to do next?degeneration wrote:I'd like the world cups to continue, but I can only vote in ones where I've seen a lot of the films. This is the first one that has really not got many takers, the others have all been covered well?
Wes Craven...Tobe Hooper...William Friedkin...Terence Fisher...Markgway wrote:m not sure who to do next?

If you guys don't know Ringo Lam we might be struggling with any Hong Kong director... I mean how many Gordon Chan films have you seen, really? You haven't done Lau Kar Leung, Gorden Chan, Tsui Hark, Yuen Woo Ping, Corey Yuen.......
I know i've seen at least 7 of his films...Markgway wrote:... I mean how many Gordon Chan films have you seen, really?
Just stop crying.Markgway wrote:If you guys don't know Ringo Lam we might be struggling with any Hong Kong director... I mean how many Gordon Chan films have you seen, really?
Point taken. I guess Ringo Lam just isn't as popular as I thought. All suggestions have been noted.degeneration wrote:I know i've seen at least 7 of his films...Markgway wrote:... I mean how many Gordon Chan films have you seen, really?
Chin Siu Tung? seen at least 8 of his...
Miyazaki?
Andrew Lau? unless there is more than one director called that, that i'm confusing, I think i've seen 16 of his films... that's if they are all by the same andrew lau...
Johnnie To? Seen 7 of his I think...
Tsui Hark?
Wong Jing?
Granted some of those I think may be classed as joint director credit, as some do have 2 names on the film.
Seriously... the fuck is your problem?luckystars wrote:Just stop crying.Markgway wrote:If you guys don't know Ringo Lam we might be struggling with any Hong Kong director... I mean how many Gordon Chan films have you seen, really?

Seems to me like you've been trolling me for weeks now.
