"Open your Eyes" (Abre Los Ojos) tonight on C4 at

The film that inspired "Vanilla Sky" is on tonight (well tomorrow morning) on C4. IMO it was very good - I haven't seen VS yet. Should I Brad? I've heard from some it isn't as good though.

Missed 'Open Your Eyes' but caught Vanilla Sky (well, remembered to tape it). Strange film. Kept me intrigued throughout. Not sure I'd say it was good though. Very uneven in fact. I thought the acting was generally good (bordering on the hammy on ocassion from Cruise). Part of the problem for me was that even the "real" world seemed kinda fake. So that when thre "fake" world takes over... it's not much different. Interesting, certainly, but probably a misfire. Kurt Russell was excellent in his guest appearence as the shrink.

I took it that that was deliberate Mark. Check out Abre Los Ojos it's much darker and also has a pivotal scene exorcised from Vanilla Sky.

Both are very good for different reasons but ALO has the edge for me. Thanks Grim.
