I didn't say that. While I'm looking forward to it, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. Let's call it cautious optimism. The movie sure has a lot of hype to live up to and Ridley Scott hasn't done a sci-fi movie in what... 30 years?

Trailer is one of the best I can remember, in ages.

Most of Ridley Scott's films are great. The odds are on his side.

Glad to hear this. Scott was saying earlier that the studio would like a pg-13, but he himself thinks R would be more suitable...

Good to hear. It's the 2D showing for me. After seeing Avengers in 3D I like 3D more but it's still a total gimmick and frankly the darkness plus having to wear glasses (glasses on glasses is annoying) pisses me off more than the (very) occasional benefit to 3D.

Saw the trailer for this today. Looks impressive. I might even go see it if I can find a local 2D screening.

Well I saw it on 1st June and I loved it! Go see it for yourself and make your own mind up, instead of just reading reviews.

And I recommend the 3D version, it looks awesome!

getting slated by the majority who've seen it over at dvdforums...let's face it Ridley Scott lost it years ago incoherent and a really poor 2nd half seem to be the main criticisms

My local starts showing this next week. They're screening both 2D and 3D versions.
