World Cup Qualifiers

Post by degeneration »

I was going to place a £5 bet on coral.co.uk on the world cup qualifiers being played. But I chickened out... Was going to cause I figured if you don't take a chance you don't get much...

Was going to go for

England win
Wales win
Czech win
Slovakia win
France-Switz draw OR france win
Sweden win
Croatia win
Italy win
Russia win
Denmark win

on a permutation bet, with £2.50 on each permutation, apparently I would win up to £244.46. that would be with the france draw.

Would be nearer £75 if france win.

Didn't bet, so won't get anything, but this will be a major IF ONLY, if these results do happen!!!

Well very glad I didn't place this bet now, what with Wales losing.

4-0! :D

Great performance in the 2nd half, ok so it was only Northern Ireland, but we made them look like the poor team they are. ;) Joe Cole, John Terry and Rooney were superb :)

Scotland were, believe it or not, unlucky.

Italy were marginally the better team in the first half, but Scotland played (dare I say it?) rather well in the 2nd.

The 2-0 score flatters Italy. I just wish we had players who could take those damn free kicks the same way.

If we had been playing N.I, we'd likely have won 4-0 too. Well, not quite perhaps, but Scotland have improved. I just hope they can build on this.

Thinking of having a gander on the next lot of qualifiers...

Czech Rep to win Andorra v Czech Rep
Holland to win Holland v Armenia
Georgia to win Georgia v Turkey or » Draw on Georgia v Turkey
Russia to win Estonia v Russia
Latvia to win Latvia v Luxembourg
Norway to win Moldova v Norway
England to win England v Azerbaijan
Poland to win Poland v Northern Ireland
Belgium to win San Marino v Belgium
Croatia to win Croatia v Malta

£5 bet in total, £2.50 on each permutation... If Georgia win, that should get me about £40, if it is a draw then it should be £25.

I think most of those I've listed are sure bets, but the Norway one and the Georgia ones are the ones I'm most worried about!!

What say you?

Well this time I didn't put the bet on cause I didn't realise that some of them kicked off early!!! D'oh!

Georgia lost
Russia drew

That's enough to let me know that I'm glad I didn't make the bet!!!

I'm obviously not the football betting expert pundit that I hoped.

Just been looking at the matches to play in Scotland's group.

In the next block of qualifiers, Scotland play Belarus and Moldova... if we can beat both of them (ha ha ha), Italy beat Norway and Belarus beat Slovenia, then Italy will be clear in front and Norway, Scotland, Belarus and Slovenia will all be tied on 8 points, which I think will give Scotland the best chance of coming 2nd.

It still is possible that we could come 2nd!!!

Who do England play next? Poland at home (I think)?

Why are Poland a point behind us? :? Who did they lose to?

They're in June on the 4th and 8th. Home to Moldova, away to Belarus.

Think it is safe to say that if we don't win them both, we won't come 2nd.

Poland lost to England, and England drew with Austria. Only points both teams have lost.

Next England match is away to Wales!!! On 3rd Sept!!!
