The guy is clearly overweight, but by American standards he isn't that fat so it seems quite surreal that he'd be deemed too wide for a seat on any US airline.

He aint even close to fat! are they blind.


Mind you fat people should have to pay vast amounts more cash to start with to fly and travel in general, they use more fuel and take up more space, they should pay more.

More space is a valid argument. It's kinda unfair and cruel towards fat people, but airlines exist to make money. If one person takes two seats, then it's totally logical to ask double price. Otherwise they are losing money (of course, damage to image may reverse the effect in the long run).

The fuel argument... It seems like SouthWest is using 3 types of Boeing 737. The maximum weight for these is 65 000 - 79 000 kg with cargo. Silent Bob's fat ass may bring extra 40 kg to the plane compared to average passanger... thanks to him, the plane won't be 75 000 kg but 75 040 kg

That being said, some airlines indeed consider this serious business. Some time ago ANA was asking people to take a crap before the flight

Maybe it's just me, but if someone said to me "You have to buy two seats for our flight, Sir" I'd think "Shit, I need to lose some fucking weight".

Yup and when they say you need 3 seats like that massive fat lady on the american airline last week who had 3 and was charged for 3, you know you are in fucking trouble!

Think of our Tax, they increase it on such an epic scale each year it is mental beyond words.
Fat Tax should be in soon, if not the UK is fucking doomed to pay for their health issues as we spiral into fat land of the future, at least in America fat pigs have to pay for health insurance, they dont get it for free like our fat layabouts.
