Are you serious? I think that cover art's terrible.

Are you for real? It's a disaster. The original poster artwork (used on the DVDs) is a billion times better. Why change it? Everyone over at DVD Active is moaning to high heaven about it. Here's the original, so much better:

I'll still pick it up though. Very good Mann film, love the music.

That BD art is a cut and paste job that looks like Fast and Furious or something. Awful
The poster art is much better.

Yes I was being sarcastic, I just forgot to put the smilie. Oops!
I'm just thrilled that I'll get to see it in HD - my DVD doesn't do justice to the shots in this film & I've been wanting it on BD for ages. Can't wait!

It gets a UK Release in June,i'll wait to get that version cheap,it's a decent film but not great. However it's a classic compared to Mann's recent dismal efforts,Miami Vice & Public Enemies.

Collateral looked awesome in the cinema. I also loved Miami Vice & Public Enemies. Still need to pick Public Enemies USA BD up at some point.

No they didn't. They looked different. I happen to like the gritty digital shots in the films.

Blah, Blah, Blah. You dislike Mann's Digital shooting style. Deal with it and move on.

Me too. I had zero problem with how any of Mann's recent films look, quite the opposite in fact.

Mann's new films look beautiful. Haven't seen Public Enemies yet, though.
Collateral is pretty good. The screenplay is actually really bad in places, often relying on unbelievable coincidences (Max picks up two customers in the morning. One of them is an assassin. The other one is a nice lady that Max wants to take out for a date. And then it turns out she is the assassins target. In a city of 4 million people), stupid coincidences (the skilled assassin goes to kill his first target. Not only is he so incompetent he doesn't manage to kill the guy nice and clean in the apartment, he actually makes to body fall through the window on top of his own taxi... this could be considered tongue in cheek humor, but in any case it's out of place) and just plain dumb scenarios (Max playing Vincent, Max negotiating with the cops), however, the film is an audio visual feast that you just can't get enough of.
In Miami Vice Mann managed to drop many of the dummest screenplay elements, and the result was one of the decade's coolest movies.
This is a funny looking post.

Both Miami Vice and Collateral are full of clichés but the style and directing is so good, I don't mind. Collateral has excellent music too. Collateral is the better of the two films.

I thought Collateral looked pretty ugly at times but that's just my opinion.
