This is exciting. Hopefully it's a decent length longer.

I'm still wondering which scenes are going back in. It gets confusing when Fox releases an extended cut, yet puts all of the deleted scene in their own special features section. They did this with Commado: Director's Cut as well on DVD. They had both the theatrical cut and the director's cut, yet the theatrical cut section had a "deleted scenes" option with footage from the director's cut... pointless really, but they also had regular deleted scenes as well.

Fingers crossed they re-instate the original extended ending though... I felt those guys never really got their proper commupance in the theatrical cut.

What happens in the Extended Ending?

I think it's a good idea. It's saves you having to search, just to find the extra scenes.

After Jack and company escape and stop at the red light near the film's end, after Gracie says "it's green, you can go now", Jack has a look on his face as if he recognizes something. We see the red car from the Lords of Death, and we see the three guys who kidnapped Miao Yin in the beginning of the film. They's parked on the docks by the water, and Jack rolls up on them. He plows the truck into their car and pushes them into the water. Jack then says something along the lines of "Now I feel better".

This explains why Jack has a look of "what the hell?" on his face when they're at the red light prior to the ending celebration at the restaurant. Like I said, I felt like these guys never got any justice. After all, if it wasn't for them, everything would've been fine! But then we wouldn't have had much of a movie :D

Makes sense to include the deleted scenes as extras since many viewers will prefer to watch the theatrical version but still want to see what's different.

Yeah I was worried it'd be region locked. Does it contain an extended cut then? DVD Beaver doesn't seem to mention it, only an extended ending.

PlayUSA often supply Canadian DVDs with English & French slapped all over the covers... Is this the case with the Big Trouble In Little China BD?

If not, I'll be buying it! :)

Life's far too short to be worrying about some french writing on a plastic case.fucked if i'll pay £4-£5 more to avoid that.if it's any consolation the disc itself has no french text on it

I'm only buying BDs of films that I love watching again & again - not impulse buys like I used to do with DVD, so I want my BD collection to be as good as it can be. I hate the French language, so I will gladly pay the £3 extra that MovieTyme want for the USA version. :)

Just noticed another Fox (USA) title MY COUSIN VINNY is also Region Free.

Two mistakes? Or a change of policy on the horizon?

Predator 2 UK is also region free (USA is RA). Change of policy for sure.

I was talking about USA releases.

There have already been numerous UK releases that are region free (ie. The Bond Movies).

Hitherto Fox USA has always coded.

Just wondering if there's been a change of policy.

Of course it counts in a 3 for 2  its your loss if you cannot find any others to get.

Even when I cannot find any I buy 3 copies of the same film (or even just films I know are tradee or sellable), keep one myself and sell off the other two, which I do all the time, it is easy to trade or sell good titles.

What absolute utter bollocks that statement is.the fact is if it's a 3 for 2 i've spent at least £15 to get the film i want.you made no mention of 3 for 2 in your initial statement, don't move the goalposts  with respect your allegations of numerous dirt cheap bargains are legendary around these boards but what's even more legendary is the fact you either never post said bargains or fail to actually back your claim up with any proof

So i'm correct,to get Big Trouble you'll be spending more than a fiver to get it!come back when you find it on it's own for said price!
