I was never a fan of Jade - but that's irrelevant here. 27 is much too young to die and I can't imagine what pain she's been through. RIP :( It's so sad for her children.

I won't miss her. I find it entirely hypocritical how people who hated her only a few years ago are now all sad for her. Thousands of people die of Cancer each year, they don't get all this media coverage.

Of course she died too young but other than that I'm not going to proclaim how sad I am about it. I couldn't stand her, sure she didn't deserve this but she was equally a useless waste of extremely ignorant space.

I await every single piece of media tommrow being about her and her amazing life.

Bullshit I say, she was a ignorant racist piece of criminal inbred chav trash.

Still not nice to die that way, but hell more important people die ever hour who desrve media space.

The only good thing about this event is cancer now has more power for research and stopping it, as frankly everyone in the UK knows how she died etc..

I agree with Romero, eg hopefully some women will get smear tests now so cancer can be spotted earlier.

I've never had any time for Jade Goody but it's more than a little callous to gloat over someone dying of Cancer. She was hardly an axe murderer. Just a dumb girl who got thrust into the limelight by people who watch Big Brother and buy gossip mags. She was of no relevance or interest to me but I feel no vitriol toward her. Blame the media for exploiting her ignorance. I agree the coverage has been tacky at best but some of the posts here are on the cruel side and it's uncecessary.

I don't believe she was inbred or a criminal Romero.

Jade was never thrust into anything, she put herself exactly where she wanted it Mark. She proclaimed herself to be ignorant, go back to bloody college then. Being ignorant and knowing it, is even worse. It's not impossible to make yourself more intelligent.

I don't believe any of us are "gloating" either.

Sure it happens but it's rare. I cannot see this causing anything rash, besides I believe if caught early it's relatively easy to cure.

I only knew her from small clips and interviews, didn't care much for her and I won't miss her, but obviously it's almost always a shame when someone so young and with children dies prematurely, leaving loved ones behind in pain.

OMG Yi, I've only just realised your avatar is Samurai Champloo

I'm currently up to episode 9, I think it's a really funny show. Manglobe's a really great studio, all three of its series are grade A quality. (and I just so happen to be currently watching all three simultaneously!)

I'll buy the box set when I have money, but it's bloody expensive, can't seem to find it for less than £40!

Wow... that was quick, Gassy(!) :P
Aw, and so you know, the picture on the bottom of all my posts, is Calvin and Hobbes! ;)

I hear ya on the quality of Champloo. Really liked the episodes I watched. I've only watched it up till about the 6th or 7th episode, and then I stopped cause I knew I wanna buy it on DVD, but like you said, the prices for anime and for this series are just ridiculous...

It's 50-60 euro here in Holland for the boxset, I believe(!)

Clearly you must prescribe to the Nort Korean government opinion that if your family are criminals, you must be too.

I wasn't disagreeing with your post per say, just pointing you Goody is A: Inbred or B: A Criminal. There's enough to say about her anyway without making things up.

If you haven't already, you must check out the studio's latest series Michiko to Hatchin. It's superb quality in every way, I can't believe it exists, must have cost a bomb to make. Look at the animation quality!

I really hope it comes out in the UK, I'm enjoying it so much. Since Ergo Proxy and Samurai Champloo are out here, hopefully this will follow.

I didn't mean she was dragged off the street kicking and screaming... but there are LOTS of young girls like her who want to be famous for the sake of being famous and if it wasn't for the media exploiting them we would've never heard of her. You really think Jade Goody would've made it of her own accord? No. Channel 4 did that. They saw someone who was loud and thick and thought that'll draw viewers (ie. make us money).
I don't believe any of us are "gloating" either.
Re-read the previous posts.

My mistake then, agreed. I cannot stand the young girls who want to be famous for the sake of being famous.

Channelle, Chantelle, Jade, Kerry Katona to name a few. It's all too easy for women to be doing this, obviously it's much harder for men. Well, at least with some of them. Jade isn't exactly Glamour material.

Speaking of Glamour models, at least most of them actually do something. The Big Brother crowd who do fuck all but still manage to get their mug in the papers are most annoying.

Sir Michael Parkinson: Jade was 'ignorant, puerile and no Diana':

Good one him, finally a celebrity who has the balls to say what many are thinking.

Parky will be attacked for this, with people caliming he's old, bitter, mean, whatever.

What they on't say though, is that he's absolutely right. Why? Because most people are fucking hypocrites as soon as someone dies.
Apparently, you can't say bad things about dead people. It's much nicer to say bad things about living people, and as soon as they're dead, you pretend they were great...(!)

Parky is right. She was a dumb broad who became a celebrity for being a an attention-seeking loudmouth in a reality-show.

It's especially hypocritical given that only 2 years ago pretty much "everyone" in The UK hated her. Now some are comparing her to Diana. WTF!

I guess it's just the tabloids exploiting it again: hype her up and they will sell their fluff to the brainless idiots who lap up their crappy bullshit.
