Woo's production company is currently developing a script for the movie, which is likely to return star Chow Yun-Fat to the role of Inspector Tequila.

Woo is not expected to direct.

Not sure what think of it. Will it have awfull english dubbing, or will they just shoot this movie in HK with an all-chinese cast!?

Also, I much preferred Tony Leung's character in the original, over Tequila.

If Woo isn't directing, then I don't really care - you're basically left with another Replacement Killers. (A film which Woo was originally going to direct, but didn't and the film's quality suffered greatly because of it.)

Why would this be an issue? It's been an industry standard to shoot films with sync sound in HK since at least the late 1990's.

Stranglehold Movie won't star CYF

Also the director is Stephen Fung, director of House of Fury, Jesus Christ.

I cannot say I'm surprised to hear this. The chance of CYF starring was low. It's also saying something, that it's not called Hard boiled 2.

Stephen Fung is a competant director but hardly in Woo's class.

And who can replace Chow?

My money's on Nicholas Tse for the lead.

I bought the Stranglehold game for very cheap the other week, that actually features Chow likeness and vocal talent. I'll just play that, fuck Terence Chang and this film.

Actually, it's highly likely that the game's cutscenes are on Youtube. So there ya go.

The Last Blood had the AKA Hard Boiled 2 I think.

The Last Blood was made in 1990/1 before Hard-Boiled.

The re-title was a lame Eastern Heroes marketing gimmick.

Is it any good? I played the demo on PC & 360, but couldn't decide if it was worth getting or not. At the time it came out a lot of people said it was too short, but it can be found for around £5 to £8 now which is not a lot.

Have you played through the whole thing now? I like challenging games (completed Ninja Gaiden Black & Ninja Gaiden II on MAster Ninja) so I don't mind if it has tough difficulty levels.

It's not rubbish, but has many of the usual drawbacks of a Wong Jing film.

I haven't even installed it yet, I'm focusing on finishing Dead Space, in-between extended Fallout 3 sessions.

I'd imagine that if you had a good time with the gameplay of Max Payne 1 & 2, you'd probably enjoy this game too. I'd bet that it's easily worth £5-8.
