Rap star P Diddy spent NZ$1.4 million filming an audition tape in a bid to replace Daniel Craig and become the first black actor to play secret agent James Bond.

The music mogul - who previously admitted he would like to be the first Black 007 - flew from New York to the South of France to shoot the footage, which shows him wearing a tuxedo as he is joined in a helicopter by two scantily-clad women.

In the video, which he posted on video sharing website YouTube, P Diddy said: “I would like to also announce that this is my audition tape for the next James Bond. I feel like I am best suited to be the next James Bond.

"I've been out there getting my hustle on in Hollywood - I just landed a role on ‘CSI: Miami’. We have a black president and it's time for there to be a black Bond."

A source added: "He has already sent the audition tape to Bond executives."
Here's the video, it's really cheesy.

A most appropriate macro:-

What a joke. "P Diddy" (what a stupid name) isn't good for anything.

Wow.... that failed HARD.

Anyway, it's probably just to get some extra media-attention for his new stink-fume...

If this is a serious attempt to land the Bond-role, then it's beyond pathetic.

Lol, typical media reaction. The word "joke" must be stamped into the letter before they get it...

Might be the first James Bond film in which the character takes part in a drive-by.

God could P.Diddy get any further up his own arse? Does this moron even have the most basic grasp of what the character of bond is all about, or does he honestly think the role is supposed to be played as a nouveau riche "gangsta" poser?

If they do ever decide to cast a black bond, then someone like Chiwetel Ejiofor would be far more qualified for the part.

Don Cheadle would make a decent secret agent kinda guy. Not 'Bond', obviously, but he's a great actor.

Cheadle's a very talented actor, no doubt, but he's hopeless when it comes to English accents! :D

Yeah, that cockney accent in Ocean's 11 was pretty low.

He'd make a good secret agent no doubt, but he better play an american one :D

Denzel could play Bond. Although he's probably too old for the part now.

I'm happy with Daniel Craig so Pee Didley or whatever his name is can eff off!

Cant wait for him to do the soundtrack for the film and sing over it with his patented vocal range and completely original music riffs
