Probably the first and last time I start a topic for a Korean movie, but: Kim is the one Korean director that I'm still interested in, and his next movie stars the charming and cute Joe Odagiri. The title was originally Dream, but it seems like they have changed it to Sad Dream now.
Starts off well but didn't feel it was even as strong as BREATH and TIME. Really it's more of the same we've seen before from him. There's some major logical leaps made in the story in order to propel it forward - feels like the plot wasn't thought through properly. I feel like Kim has become a bit like Hong Sang-soo, growing too comfortable and lazy in his own aesthetic. Once again it's even the same musical composer, as always, but just didn't seem to fit the mood of the film this time around.
