Anyone heard of this? :D
It looks like the film is in the same style as the Lone Wolf and Cub films (but more serious). Bisc you may want to check it out. :)

Yep. I have the french dvd.

Very dark chambara, very violent.
Very slow at times, but the ending makes up for it.

I actually prefer Sword of Doom to the Lone Wolf and Cub series.

Definately one of the greatest samurai movies ever. :)

Sounds good then. :) Whats the quality of the French DVD like? The Criterion will probably be better for me though ;)

I'd been meaning to get some other Lone Wolf and Cub movies. :)

Whats the quality of the French DVD like?
-Fully restored from a copy of the original master. 8)
-Nice and clean mono japanese soundtrack.
-Very accurate french subs.

I can't ask for more, really.

The Criterion uses a restored, anamorphic HD transfer too, plus "improved English subtitle translation" 8)

I have had it on pre-order for such a long time and they kept poszt-poning it. I hope March 15th will finally be definite release date.
