The Mask - new R1 release with DTS in May

Post by grim_tales »

Although I never bought this on DVD before, I pick this up if it is cheap. The current R1 (and R2?) releases are non-anamorphic.

I really enjoyed this when it came out :) Carrey is hilarious (there are some brilliant scenes inspired by MGM/Looney Tunes shorts as well) and Cameron Diaz ca. The Mask was cinematic perfection. :D :P

I don't like the cover though, OK its not a "dark" film, its' a zany comedy, but didnt the Mask work mostly at night? So the cover with the blue sky doesn't make sense. :?

It was great then but now I suspect it's pretty lame and average.

Yeah maybe you're right, it is 10/11 years old. And you know what they say about watching movies you enjoyed in your youth.. :)
