Well, I finally decided to give this a go as I enjoy finding out the music "borrowed" for use in old school MA films. I think the most well known case is Neu! being used in Master of the Flying Guillotine. But in short, I thought the best idea would be to work out a wiki style site so people could add music listings they recognize. Here it is:
http://martialartsmusic.wikia.com
It's still in the "infancy" stage... well, more like newborn, but there are a few movies listed. Aside from MOTFG, I also posted info on The Young Master, The Big Boss, and Way of the Dragon. By no means do I consider these listings complete, but they're there for people to add info, or even add other movies. I'm going to try to work on an article for Tower of Death soon as well as some other Bruceploitation films. Plus, I'm going to put together a Snake in the Eagle's Shadow section, which should have an abundance of music as well. Any help from anyone here would also be greatly appreciated in getting this moving forward!
New "what's that music?" wiki site for MA films

Wow, thanks everyone! Snake in the Eagle's Shadow will most likely be next as there really are a ton of music cues "borrowed" in that film, especially "Oxygene Pt 2" and "Magic Fly". I hope to get the SITES info up by tomorrow, and I'll definately need to check a lot of these others out! Thanks again!

New article on the music used in Snake in the Eagle's Shadow!
http://martialartsmusic.wikia.com/wiki/ ... 27s_Shadow
Obviously the film has more "borrowed" cues than what's in the article, but I wasn't able to find any 100% matches on some of the others. Then again, the articles can obviously be updated at any time

Yep, I believe it was only the English dub that has had "on again/off again" music alterations. I know the film also had music from Carrie, but I'm trying to make sure I point out the right tracks and the right scenes.grim_tales wrote:The SITES Canto track/music is unaltered as well isnt it? (I have the Mei Ah DVD BTW).

Update on Way of the Dragon's music!
http://martialartsmusic.wikia.com/wiki/ ... the_Dragon
Found several music cues from the film The Andromeda Strain. I remember a few years back reading that the music playing after Lee defeats Norris was from a sci-fi film, yet I couldn't remember the name. I found the music cues from The Andromeda Strain, and not only did I find that cue, but three others as well!
EDIT:
Now added, "Death at the Whyte House" from "Diamonds Are Forever" as the music cue when Uncle Wang first becomes a "baddie". Thanks to Ivan Drago for the heads up on the film where this cue came from!
