Thanks Lourdes.

The Thai DVD looks interlaced too. I used to own it but am glad I sold it on now (unwatched) so I can re-buy it properly.

The Thai DVD looks a mess. I can appreciate Mangpong are a small Thai label by International standards but this film won a far few awards. You'd think they'd make more effect. Converting it from NTSC to PAL is odd when many Thai DVDs are NTSC anyway.

I wonder how the R1 compares? -

I have the R1, but not at hand at the moment. I may be able to add caps next weekend, or in early June at the latest.

Of course it's interlaced Brad, it's NTSC>PAL.....

I thought I had the R1 somewhere around (acquired it for the Doyle commentary) but I can't seem to find it. As I recall it's interlaced and not up to much, usual Palm Pictures release.

Thanks. I didn't realise the two went hand to hand.

You're right, it is possible that antamiincon and floafeAnnerie didn't know that. But everybody else does.
Why else did you think NTSC>PAL conversions are hated and only not so bad on interlaced displays?

But everybody else does.
Off the top of my head: I bet Grim doesn't, Salty maybe too.
