Same extras and subtitles.

Hopefully someone can add R2J (and possibly other) caps.

I used to have the R2J but I think it was a bit soft. I also recall the colors being similar to those R1 caps.

I now have the Spanish disc. I don't have it at hand right now, but I think it's similar to the UK disc. Actually, wouldn't be surprised at all if it was a port.

I think Palm used the same master and then hired apes to do their own encode.

Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Lourdes: Could you mention it's the USA R1 please.

The Canadian R1 is a DVD5 PAL to NTSC transfer and barebones too. The R1 I believe is Native NTSC but I didn't know it was Interlaced.

Palm Pictures: USA
Seville: Canadian

I used to own the USA R1. It was ropey but watchable. I ended up selling it on eBay.

Do you have the R4 Eva?

Hopefully it has a decent transfer as the UK DVD is only DD2.0.

Fair enough. I thought you bought it during a Madman sale.

Cheers Lourdes.

Belgian caps added.

Same as the R2UK, except there's more grain.
Based on cap n°7, I suspect that the bitrate is higher on the R2BE (there's more detail in the sand).

Video on the R2UK is 4.23GB. I wouldn't think that the Belgian disc would be much different, not that you can really compare bitrates unless there's a dramatic difference as encoders vary so much. The R2BE is sharper which is why there's a little more detail and grain but there isn't enough bitrate for this which translates into more artefacts and noise.
