Initial D: Megastar Blu-Ray vs R0HK Megastar

tom2681 · Post by **tom2681** » 26 Apr 2008, 21:20

Sorry if the caps look a bit random.
Seeking isn't easy with Blu-Ray.

Thanks Tom. Are you planning to do a Flash Point comparison?

It looks like a solid upgrade.

FYI the USA Tai Seng BD is a Mega Star port. I understand the Megstar BD even has an English dub.

No Anne Suzuki cap? Useless comparison :x

tom2681 · Post by **tom2681** » 26 Apr 2008, 22:24

Okay, Hung.
Just for you I'll add a screencap of Anne Suzuki in her swimsuit tomorrow.

@Brad:
Sorry, I don't have Flash Point.

HungFist · Post by **HungFist** » 26 Apr 2008, 22:50

She's in swimsuit in the film? God damn, I need to buy this film.

bradavon · Post by **bradavon** » 26 Apr 2008, 23:15

Fair enough Tom. I thought it was the sort of film you'd buy.

Crikey very plain looking. I was expecting a Hot Asian lady. She's not it.

tom2681 · Post by **tom2681** » 26 Apr 2008, 23:30

Anne Suzuki is the kind of chick that Hung & I love.

:love1:

Much better looking than the plastic women some people are showing in the "nice bird" topics IOO (in our opinion).

bradavon · Post by **bradavon** » 26 Apr 2008, 23:35

That photo is likely touched up too though

or at least lighting is optimal.

I love Asian women as much as the next man on this forum but Anne Suzuki in that photo is very plain. Shu Qi for example isn't plastic but is much hotter, as is Zhang Ziyi.

Keeley Hazel isn't plastic either, who is an example of a lady in the "Western Birds" thread. She's as natural as Anne Suzuki in fact. Like wise Keira Knightley is a stunningly beautiful woman.

Anne Suzuki just looks like millions of other women you see in Tokyo every day, well when I was there anyway

Go away Brad. And take Keezel Hazel, Ziyi and Qi with you.

Now I need to buy a Blu-Ray player, too.

bradavon · Post by **bradavon** » 27 Apr 2008, 00:15

And Keira Knightley?

I'd have thought she was the sort of Western lady you guys like.

HungFist · Post by **HungFist** » 27 Apr 2008, 00:27

You can have her, too. I've only seen her in one Pirates movie, and can't remember anything about it (or her).

tom2681 · Post by **tom2681** » 27 Apr 2008, 10:46

Keira Knightley is so thin, you can't even see her.
She's like a pencil with hair.

Just like Natalie Portman.

And Anne Suzuki isn't?

They compare very similarly as far as I can tell.

Re: Initial D Blu-Ray:
I'd just like to mention that the subtitles have been re-done for the Blu-Ray disc. Many spelling mistakes have been removed and the wording has been improved.
They're still not perfect, but the improvement is quite noticeable.

bradavon · Post by **bradavon** » 02 May 2008, 19:43

Cool. That's unusual. It's good to hear though.

EvaUnit02 · Post by **EvaUnit02** » 03 May 2008, 04:29

Too bad improved IQ and better subs can't turn Initial D into a good film.
