1. As well as the Studio Canal HD-DVDs, which were later ported all over Europe and Australia:

2. I've spotted a couple of interesting French Blu-ray Discs:

* Dune:

This is a HD-DVD in America
Director's Theatrical Cut - Like the HD-DVD
DTS-HD Master Audio - DD Plus on the HD-DVD
BD50 with AVC Compression
"Apparently" Region Free: http://www.releaselists.com/BLURAYInternational.html

A picture in this review "implies" Forced French Subs: http://www.dvdrama.com/fiche.php?9593

* Tell No One (Ne le dis a personne):

This is an excellent French Hitchcockian thriller, released in 2006. There are UK and Canadian DVDs but no UK/USA/Canadian HD Disc.

Fox Pathe disc
French DTS-HD HR or PCM
English subtitles
Various extras, probably no English subs
Confirmed Region Free: http://bluray.liesinc.net/index.php?region=b

What do you guys reckon about Dune having forced subs? That review certainly seems to suggest it has forced subs.

No source though. I'll pick up the BD, when I'm ready to buy it.
