Unbreakable

Top: R1 DVD
Bottom: Blu-ray

These captures were posted over at the AVSFORUM. Overall there are great improvements in detail. The 1080P mastered Blu-ray is a great step up from the DVD.

Thanks Captainjoe and thanks for your continuing capture comparisons.

Agreed the BD is clearly a marked improvement, add in it's Lossless Audio and it's one I'll upgrade for sure. I currently have the R1 Vista DVD.

The PCM track was the main selling point for me. This movie has one of my most favourite soundtracks and it sounds glorious at 4.6 MBPS. The music is just powerful.

Some sample tracks:
2:30 - my favourite track

Thanks Joe. Definitely a noteworthy improvement over the DVD.

Out of the Shymalan films that I've seen, this is the only one that's worth the time of day IMO.

I've shared my opinion on our friend Manoj's filmmaking "talent" a number of times and I can't be bothered to do so again, run a search of the forum.

The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and The Village are all excellent IMO. This is probably his best though. Signs is okay at best and the less said about Lady in the Water the better.
