Warner Blu-ray subtitle glitch?

Post by gasteropod »

On The Prestige and The Island, subtitles come on if I skip to a different scene using the scene selection, and on Blood Diamond, subtitles are on when the films starts! Does anyone else have this problem? It's just a bit annoying having to turn the subtitles off. All three of these are UK releases, by the way.

Do you have subtitles enabled in the system menus? I know on DVD Players you can do this. Set them to Off or whatever is available and see if it goes away.

Nope, like I said it's only those three films anyway - if I had English subtitles: On on my PS3, they'd come on on every film.

I once had an issue with DVDs whereby when I first started certain disc subs would come on and I would have to turn them off again (even though I'd never selected them anyway).

Even though it was only certain discs I disabled it in the System Menu and it stopped it from happening. If I wanted subs I could always later enable them anyway.
