Probably one of the most eagerly anticipated comparisons here on bullets this seminal kung fu classic needs a proper Criterion like SE.unfortunately this is all we have available.

Both prints look rubbish (German is marginally better). The German must be a different print (W/S, Chinese on the credits, different title).

both prints are poor but anamorphic is always much more than "marginally better" than p&s 8)

Both are crap but at least the German print is widescreen crap.
I believe the UK disc is also censored.

Anybody else notice the MAJOR cropping on the bottom of the widescreen frames? Well, some look worse than others, but still. Ugh, why can't we have more proper 2.35 Bruce Li/Ho Chung Tao DVDs! Where's my uncut, restored, remastered, and anamorphically enhanced widescreen edition of Soul Brothers of Kung Fu?
